A message from Charlotte…

I found my own ‘happy-ever-after’ on a blind date, longer ago than I’d like to remember. We were set up by friends, who, rather than allowing us to meet up alone, decided that it would be better if there was a group of us.

Cue a meal out where every other person at the table stared at us, wondering if we were getting along ok. Drinks, where people kept taking us aside, asking whether or not we ‘fancied’ (Brit-speak for were attracted to) the other. And, eventually, a club where (just to shut everyone up) we shared our first kiss (to rapturous applause from those of our party who had lasted that long).

The rest, as they say, is history. Twenty years and two children later, we’re still happily married and plan on staying that way. It hasn’t always been plain sailing, but we’ve weathered the storm!

I’m a reader at heart. I love all sorts of genres, but romance is always the one I fall back on, especially when I’m feeling a little low or in need of cheering up. Nothing beats a good old happy ending (especially when things in your own life aren’t going so well)!
